Loughborough is a market town in the heart of the East Midlands, about halfway between Leicester and Nottingham and only a short train ride away from London. With great transport links, Loughborough is an easy place to get to.

The main conference will be hosted at West Park Teaching Hub one of our newest spaces.

Getting here

Travelling by car

Loughborough’s nearest motorway link is the M1; the campus is just two miles from Junction 23. The University is clearly signed on all the other main approach roads to Loughborough. Use the postcode LE11 3TT when setting your destination.

Travelling by coach or bus

Coach and bus services operate from the centre of Loughborough. Travel by National Express or regional bus services to Loughborough then connect with local Kinch bus town services to the Loughborough University campus. For enquiries about all these services call Traveline on 0871 200 22 33.

University shuttle bus

The Sprint service from Loughborough Railway station brings you straight to campus. Stops on campus include: Students’ Union, Pilkington Library, Wolfson School and Holywell Park. In term time this service runs every 10 minutes Monday to Saturday.

Travelling by rail

Regular services operate between Loughborough and other main line towns – including daily trains to and from London St Pancras International, 90 minutes away. Taxis are normally available from the station.

Travelling by air

East Midlands Airport is only 7 miles away and offers both domestic and international flights. For destinations and a full timetable contact the East Midlands Airport Information Desk on +44 (0)8719 199000  

Car parking

If you’re staying on campus, then parking is free of charge. Simply check in with reception and confirm with them any actions you need to take to input your registration.   

If you’re not staying over on the university site, please note that car parking charges may apply. You will be required to either scan and pay via an app or utilise one of our on campus car parking machines. Details will be confirmed with you nearer the time.
